New tires make the XT look badass

Jim came over yesterday and showed me how to change tube tires. Now that I have two dualsports with spokes/tube tires, I figured that might be a good skill to have. ;)

I learned enough to feel comfortable doing a tire change or tube patch on the side of the road somewhere now. I also learned that I'm perfectly happy to let Hare Racing continue doing my routine tire swaps as it's rather a pain in the ass.

The XT looks pretty badass with the new shoes though, huh?

This is really obvious, but those knobblies will move around in the dry and feel weird on tarmac, but stick OK. In the wet, though, they'll skate out from under you really very easily indeed.

They'll also wear out really quickly on ashphalt.

Sounds just like the stockers when they were brand new. :)
