Ack! Where's the photo? Carolyn, there are many fans of yours that enjoy and eat up every word and pic you post of your bike journeys! Sounds like you're having a great trip so far. All I had was a measly 260 mile round trip to various places in PA on Labor day, knowing the daily grind begins again the next day with no relief in sight until Thanksgiving! (Holy Run-on Sentence Batman!)

Oops! Damn, I had trouble with the photos on this one. I finally just stuck the camera phone pics up on Flickr and linked that way. My bad!

I have a Z as well. I used to ride all around WA in college, but now I am in IN for work. Im waiting for the weather to get a little warmer so I can get back on the bike. I have had the same issues that you have had with your Z. I got a new seat and still cant see out of the mirrors. Im thinking of getting gsxr1000 mirrors so I can have the blinkers integrated, but I have never seen it done on this bike. I have gripster tank pads for my knees that are a life saver. They took a lot of weight off my wrists and help me from sliding forward. You do have to custom fit them, but its pretty easy. I really recommend them for longer riders like you and I (Techspec-usa.com). I think my next step is a taller windscreen and some heated grips. If you know anything about heated grips, or windscreens, or anything else cool for the bike, do tell.

Thanks,
mike
